In San Diego, one of the country's most powerful military towns, government proposals continue to play a crucial role in the local design industry. At the United States Marine Corps' largest West Coast Training facility, Camp Pendleton, construction is underway to renovate Brig Building 24100, Area 24. The architect of record for the project is KMA Architecture & Engineering (KMA), and the general contractor is IE-Pacific Inc.

Inspired by San Diego's contemporary architectural history, KMA Architecture and Engineering (KMA) is redefining worship spaces by bringing its modern design aesthetic to a local church. First retained by Newbreak Church in December 2010 to design their Ocean Beach remodel, the firm has announced that construction for the two-story building, which will serve as an important urban focal point for the community, is complete.
