Luke Air Force Base was purchased by the government in 1941 and was named after the first aviator to receive the Medal of Honor, Lt. Frank Luke Jr., who was born in Phoenix and scored 18 aerial victories during World War I. Currently Luke Air Force Base is the Air Force’s largest fighter wing F-16 training base in the world.

 

KMA project team includes Elisabeth David, Tim Rubesh and Loretta Young. Phoenix-based Pearson Engineering is the electrical, mechanical and plumbing engineer. Civil and landscape architecture services will be provided by RBF Consulting from its San Diego and Phoenix offices. Studio West Interiors is the interior designer and Grace Evans Technical Services is providing specification writing services.
