KMA ARCHITECTURE & ENGINEERING BEGINS DESIGNS FOR NEW DORMITORY AT ARIZONA AIR FORCE BASE
Designs are underway at KMA Architecture & Engineering (KMA) for a new dormitory at Luke Air Force Base located in Glendale, Arizona. KMA was retained by Straub Construction, Inc. to design the project, slated for completion in the winter of 2008.
Project designs for the new $17 million project include a three-story dormitory, a large communal area and a mechanical equipment building. The dormitory building will house approximately 108 personnel and will be designed in a “U” shape with a landscaped courtyard in the center. Each room will be designed according to the Air Force standard building module with four bedrooms, a common room and kitchen. The building also will feature individual bulk storage area available to all residents.
