DEMAND FOR LEED TRAINED ARCHITECTS

ON THE RISE

The accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council, recognizes expertise in green building and LEED, the national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings. Principals Don Blair, Joyce Peabody, and Robb M. Walker have earned their LEED accreditations, as well as Graduate Architects Nina Charnotskia and Allison Warren.

Every KMA employee is offered the chance to earn their accreditation, paid for 100% by KMA as part of the company benefits package. The free LEED training is available to all of its architects, with the goal of having every member of the architecture and engineering staff become accredited.

“It is of great importance to us to have the knowledge and experience to help meet the growing demand for sustainable building in San Diego,” said Don Blair, president of KMA Architecture & Engineering. “We are well on our way to having the whole KMA team expertly trained in LEED practices and able to share this expertise with our clients.”
