As part of the Marine Corps “Grow the Force” initiative, this project will involve site preparation and procurement and installation of temporary facilities, including concrete pads, utilities, fences, access roads and parking lots, as well as sunshades for equipment and vehicle maintenance. The interim facilities will provide Marine Corps units with temporary administrative, maintenance, storage, armory and restroom spaces, in addition to furnishings, fixtures and equipment.

This particular Marine Corps facility will also provide site preparation for a construction staging area that will be used to support future “Grow the Force” military construction activities. Additional facilities will include a vehicle wash rack, loading dock and supporting utilities.

The Twentynine Palms Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center/Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command’s mission is to conduct relevant live-fire combined arms training, urban operations and joint/coalition level integration training that promotes operational forces readiness, while providing durable facilities, services and support responsive to the needs of resident organizations, Marines, Sailors and their families.
