DESIGN COMPLETE FOR SAN MARCOS RETAIL CENTER
KMA was retained by developer Julian Piccioni to provide architecture and engineering services for the 18,400 square foot project, one of the first new commercial developments in the La Costa Meadows area. The project is slated for completion in late 2007.
The project will consist of two single level buildings comprised of 14,400 and 4,000 square feet. The buildings will feature standing seam metal roofing with deep overhangs and eave brackets reflecting an Craftsman style design. Clerestory towers punctuate the roofscape and stone veneer and exterior stucco alternately accent the buildings’ facades. Plans include space for a convenience store, restaurants, a dry cleaner and other retail tenants.
KMA design team includes Antonio Bernardo, Nicole Thompson and Timothy Rubesh. Hale Engineering is providing civil engineering services and Teshima Design Group has provided concept landscape architecture services.
