Nexus, a new mixed-use residential complex located at the southwest corner of Ninth Avenue and G Street in the East Village district of downtown San Diego. KMA Architecture & Engineering (KMA) is the executive architect and Fehlman LaBarre is the design architect for the project, owned by Centex Homes. Construction is slated for completion in July 2006.

Plans for the eight-story, 90,000 square foot building feature a steel frame structural system including 76 residential units, 3,800 square feet of retail space and three levels of below-grade parking. Designs also include a stepped façade on Ninth Avenue, which meet the height limits for Centre City Development Corporation’s Sun Access Criteria, established to maintain adequate sunshine and air on sidewalks and residential areas.
